Brett, at the press conference, did indeed give all the credit to Evans. He stated he did not know who it was and that he just saw a purple blurr and threw it as hard as he could. Also he remarked on what a spectacular catch. Now that's real class on his part.

It's the MSM that tried to make it look different. Most of them have been on Favre's case since he signed with the Vikings. Favre has been pretty adamant about it being a team effort. The past 17 years don't count.

Bottom line, it does not have to be pretty and Favre does not have to throw 300+ yards in every game. The only thing that will count at the end of the season is the W's in the column and we now have 3-0.

I have been following the Vikings since day one and that game winner pass was one of the best plays I have ever seen. Don't want to see anymore like that though, my old ticker can't keep missing many heartbeats.

I am looking forward to Monday night with relish. It should be a real dog fight in the Metrodome against Green Bay this time.  cheers cheers

Oh my God, Oh my God. Was that a game or what? National game, highlighted all week, and Favre took it home. What a team effort. Shut all day Ap down, then Rice comes up with a TD and two catches on the onside kicks. Jared Allen was like a demon. Probably his best game ever. Farve for the most part was dead on with his passing game.

How about Favres new record? The only quarterback in NFL history to beat every team in the NFL in his career. I thought that was the ultimate up your face Green Bay payback. Set another NFL record beating the team that let him go. Is there poetic justice and a football God upstairs or what?

I smell Super Bowl Folks. The master and the Grasshoppers are going to do it as a team. That's why the old dead man was brought in, in case those naysayer sportscasters and reporters missed the point. Favre does not have to carry the whole team. I think that has been proven with a 4-0 start.

Oh yeah. How about the Twinkies? Would a World Series and Super Bowl in the same year put us on the map or what?

I agree with everything you said.  Plus his Sears commercial is hilarious.

Yeah, those Sears commercials are a stitch. It's been some excitement in the frozen tundra sports the past ten days though. Bring on the Yankees.

The thing I find a little irritating though is that them naysayers are not eating crow enough. Favre and the Twinkies were written off. Really? Who's 4-0 and who's taking on the Yankees?

Oh yeah, instead of eating crow prorperly, now it's the wait til we go to Green Bay and play them in the cold at Lambeau. Geez, like Favre and most of the Vikings have not played in the cold before. Bottom line is that it really is irrelevant. Favre set another record and had the in your face at the same time. Can't change that fact. It's in the books now.

Folks, I always thought Favre was a great QB and never looked forward to playing the Pack.  We got him now and I think that is just great. I want to see the Vikings take a Super Bowl before I die. I think this might be the year.

Yes Herc, it was a fabulous football game. Farve was fantastic.

Okkkkkkkkkk, I confess, I wasn't looking forward to the "glory hound, cry baby, undecided" Farve coming to MN.  Now, all I can say is... He's good!   cheers (I had a few of the Bacardi flavored ones)

Twins did great. Not so hot last night in New York though. Not giving up on em though. They will rest up and come back and kick some butts now!

What can I say? Another team effort. All day AP does not need 250 yards a game. He got two TD's today. Jared Allen was a beast on the loose again. Favre aired it out and proved he still has an arm.

Hey, we are five zip with a dead man at the helm. The master and the grasshoppers are making fools of all the sports know it alls. I'm loving every minute of it. Did you notice how that pro Rams cracker announcer changed his tune about how the Rams were doing everything right when he finally had to eat some crow in the 4th quarter?

Not going to be in the record book, but, this was the first year Favre ever started 5-0.

Well, our pre-season is over. The Vikings are going to be hard to beat and I don't care who we play. The master and the grasshoppers are on a mission. sleeping snoopy cheers cheers

And the tooth fairy exists. no no no

My ticker was going crazy for the second time this year. The Vikes gotta quit doing that to me or there will be one hell of a lawsuit. Favre had a good game. All day AP was getting back to normal. Jared Allen was his usual demon. Rice is getting better.

A little breakdown in defense in the 4th quarter. Bottom line, another in the W column. Bottom line in professional football is the final score. First 6-0 start for the Vokings for a long time.

As per usual, everbody is saying how great Baltimore was and they should have won the game. Bullroar. Maybe they should have, but, they didn't. That's all that counts. Oh yeah, on MSNBC sports, I got a kick out of several commentors about Childress being a lousy coach. He's still a 6-0 coach. Play calls have to be executed by the players and the defense has to do their job.

So the Ravens played good for about ten minutes, they still lost the game. They didn't look all that good the other 50 minutes.  loser

The ravens didn't look good because the Vikings handed them their azzes for the other 50 minutes. Just because the big knobs don't want to admit that the Vikes are good doesnt make it so! cheerleader

Well, if ever there was a lesson in how to beat yourself, this was it. I can not believe the play calling. Five shots from the one yard line and only come away with three points? Two more times with first and goal and they tried to get cute. What the hell was all that fancy **** calling? Give the ball to Peterson or Taylor and punch it in. That, or a good old fashioned quarterback sneak.

Childress got a lot of splaing to do on those **** calls.

Well sports fans, I think the master and the grasshoppers are finally getting some respect. The Vikings are for real and I smell Super Bowl. I have always thought Favre was a great QB and never looked forward to playing Green Bay with him at the helm.

Well, we got the old master now and I could not be happier for him and the Vikings, period. Gonna be an interesting final eight weeks, that's for sure.
